BELPER UNITED LOOK TO REVERSE THE AWAY RESULT.

After a stop start March when the last game was on the 19th and with mixed results, Belper United started April with a win at Sherwood Colliery.
The previous match had been at Selston two weeks earlier. Selston took the lead and Sam Vickers equalised before an unfortunate deflection gave Selston a home goal from a long range shot. Despite their best efforts Belper were unable to score again against a strong Selston side. Selston added a third goal towards the end.
The Visit to Sherwood Colliery made the game more important to win to stay close to the top of the table. This was achieved with goals from Sam Vickers, Dean Oliver and James Slack. Sherwood got a late consolation goal. Richard Brookes made his debut in goal as fit again Mark Rathbone was with Belper Town and Scott Whittingham unavailable.
The Selston match tonight is very important to Belper to maintain their challenge for promotion. It will certainly have the prospects of a very close tough match.
