Steve Watson made 3 changes for this CML South away clash against Calverton MW. Kyle Wadsworth, Adam Jablonski and Scott Slater all returning to the starting 11 with Adam Nicholls and Craig Riley being rested.
After a major 30 minute rain storm the game kicked off. A typical end of season game looked on the cards with both sides having possession but absolutely no goalmouth action at all to talk about. That all changed though on 30 minutes.
Kyle Wadsworth's floated freekick into the box was missed by the Calverton MW keeper and after a richochet Joe Sparham had the easiest chance of heading the ball in the net until the Calverton MW no.2 nipped in and handled it on the line. The referee immediately pointed to the spot and showed the fullback a redcard. Kyle Wadsworth stepped up and sent the keeper the wrong way to make the score 1-0 to Belper United.

Belper United immediate came out and started to get at the 10 man Calverton MW. After 49 minutes Shaun Smith's solo run easily outpaced the Calverton MW defender and slotted home to make it 2-0.
Chances were coming Belper United's way but it wasnt until the 65th minute that they finally put the game out of Calverton's reach. Luke Crosby on the right got to the byline and a low cross was met by Dan Riley who smashed it home. 3-0 to Belper United.
Craig Riley, Adam Nicholls and Matt Phillips came on to replace Tim Perry, Dan Riley and Jamie Wilde. Matt Phillips had a chance to make an immediate impact but his side foot shot came back of the post.
Matt Phillips got his reward late on when his volleyed cross deceived the goalkeeper and ended up looping into the top corner to make it 4 for Belper United.

Steve Watson (Manager) says 'The penalty on 30 minutes and subsequent red card changed the game in our favour. We finished the game off well in the second half and deserved our victory. It has been a long season and we have just one game left to secure 3rd and our best finish in the CML. Hopefully we can continue to build in pre-season, and retain the current players for a real push at the title next year.'
Phill Alcock (Coach) says 'We are finishing the season strong without playing at our best. We now have 4 straight clean sheets, which means our goalkeepers and defenders are working well in tandem and has given our midfield and strikers a solid base to work from.'
