Berriew travelled to Carno without the suspended Rhydian Morris and injured Adam Williams which left them with a very makeshift midfield. Berriew kicked down the slope first half and were denied an early goal when Dan Dawson 20 yard strike was well saved by the Carno Keeper. Berriew had majority of possession and created a great opening when Martyn Ziemann found space down the right, his clever ball across goal found Christian Webster but somehow he managed to blaze over from six yards. In the final minute of the first half Jonathan Gamble was brought down for a penalty and left back Marc Jones converted.

Carno started second half more brightly with their neat inter play and almost equalised when striker Greg Browns lob managed to somehow bounce over keeper Dave Jones and bounce over the cross bar too. Berriew were close to doubling their lead when Marc Jones dangerous free kick eluded the carno rear guard but Mark Probert and Martyn Ziemann were both unable to get the vital touch.

Carno got their equaliser half way through half when they were given a harshly awarded free kick and when Berriew failed to clear, striker Brown poked home. Carno had chances to win the game but Berriew held them out and managed to hang on for the point.
