Thursday's meeting heard and accepted a number of reports from the Executive Committee, Treasurer - Richard Ayre and Captain - Gareth Black. These can be downloaded below.

President Bill Black started the meeting off with his opening remarks including thanking all of the many people who had helped him during his first year in the hot seat. After this we moved through the various reports before turning to the Election of Officials.

The appointments made were:

Election of Directors of Berwick Rugby Football Club Limited
Following the EGM held some months ago, when the Members voted to become an incorporated Club, the annual appointments of the directors was held with Bill Black - President, Stephen Gilchrist - Secretary, Richard Ayre - Treasurer and Colin Frame - Executive Committee nominee being confirmed to the posts.

The following members were elected to the Executive Committee to serve for the 2016-2017 Season:

Colts Convenor - Iain Thomson
Chairman of Youth Rugby - Ian McAree
Mini Convenor - Guy Moor
Club Safeguarding Officer - Peter Fagan
Youth / Schools Development Officer - Douglas Hall
Players Representative - Jamie Pick
Fixtures Representative - Chris Budzynski
Chairman of House - Jim Turner
SRU League Representative - Bryan Spiers
Border League Representatives - Fiona Skeen / Chris Budzynski
Northumberland Representative - Gareth Black
Ladies Representative - Jodi Mace
Other Executive Members - Mike Hardie, Colin Robinson and Colin Frame.

Captain and Vice Captain
Gareth Black was confirmed as Club Captain for the 2016-2017 Season with Tom Riddell being appointed as Club Vice Captain

Honorary English and Scottish Presidents
The Honorary Presidents were next to be elected by the meeting. The English Honorary President continues to be Colin Robinson. However after the very sad death of Sandy Reavley earlier this year a replacement was needed for the Honorary Scottish President and Colin Frame was duly elected to the post.

Other Points
After the other formal parts of the meeting the floor was opened to "Any Other Business" from the members. As ever this proved to be the most lively part of the evening with various issues being raised.

There was discussion on the poor state of the 1st Team pitch after the hard season last year; how to get more players involved in the running of the Club; how to get more volunteers in general; plans to celebrate the fund raising done last year for the training pitch; plans for recognising the donations on a board; concerns were raised at the number of unfilled posts and a lengthy discussion was held on how to better communicate ground maintenance.

The meeting was brought to an end by President Bill Black who was thanked by those present for all of his hard work over the last year.
