Braves edged out by Wyke
In another good defensive performance the Braves were edged out by a much bigger Wyke B by 3 tries to 2.
Beverley started the match confidently with Samuel Shrimpton opening the scoring within the first minutes. However, Wyke came back strongly; offloading repeatedly in the tackle until spaces appeared in the Beverley defence to equalise. Beverley managed to hold Wyke on their try line before some good direct running and an offload by William Wilson allowed Samuel Shrimpton to score his second try. A quick reply from Wyke just before half time set up a tense second half. Solid tackling from Antonio Seminara, Joel Newton and Jacob Parkinson kept Wyke in their own half but some good running and sidesteps allowed Wyke to bypass the Beverley defence and score their 3rd try. The Coaches were very proud of the way the team competed against and older and more experienced team.
The Braves man of the match was Samuel Shrimpton and the top tackler was Jacob Parkinson.
The team consisted of Beau English, Antonio Seminara, Oliver Egan, William Parkinson, Matthew Cook, Jacob Parkinson, Jarad Goforth, William Wilson, George Youngs, Roberto Seminara, Timothy Heng, Joel Newton, Mackenzie Beckett, James Marr, Louix Gorman and Samuel Shrimpton.
