| Hull Dockers | vs | Beverley Braves |
A hard fought win for the Braves against Dockers
In the first half the Dockers were the superior team, their powerful runners exploiting holes in the Beverley defence. However by half time, the Braves remained on level terms thanks mainly to the excellent tackling and running of William Wilson who added two tries of his own to the score.
The second half started with a try a piece, Samuel Shrimption finding a gap to score for the Braves. Beverley created some good attacking opportunities with both Jared Goforth and William Parkinson going close. The breakthrough occurred with Samuel Shrimpton’s long run to set up a field position deep in Dockers half. From here Jacob Parkinson took the bulk of the defenders with him as he fought for the line, leaving Louix Gorman, who was quickest to react, to score the winning try.
The coach awarded the top tackler trophy to Timothy Heng and Man of the Match to William Wilson.
The team consisted of Antonio Seminara, William Parkinson, Matthew Cook, Jacob Parkinson, Jared Goforth, William Wilson, George Youngs, Roberto Seminara, Timothy Heng, Michael McManus, James Marr, Louix Gorman and Samuel Shrimpton
