The blue and golds will bring their season to a close this Saturday with their biggest game in their recent history. They will contest the Yorkshire Premier Division Grand Final against Siddal Academy. at Mount Pleasant, Batley (kick off 1pm). Their appearance in the final is a sign of their progress over the past 3 seasons when they first joined the Yorkshire Mens League. They had little idea when they resigned from the Hull & District League back then that they would so soon be contesting the Grand Final of the top division.

Finishing in fourth place as opposed to 2nd placed Siddal, they probably again are slight underdogs. However Scott Taylor's men have found their best form late in the season when it most matters. They will not be deterred by the fact that their West riding opponents have already defeated them twice this season. They were defeated 28-8 at Siddal and lost the return fixture 42-18 at the Leisure Centre with on both occasions depleted line ups.

Head Coach Scott Taylor has no injury worries ahead of Saturday and has named a 21 man squad which incudes all of the 17 players from last week's semi-final. He has added Luke Inglis, Will Thompson, Callum O'Connor and Lewis Colrein to the squad and will make a decision on his final 17 on Saturday morning.

A double-decker coach will depart from the Potting Shed at 10am. for players and supporters. The lower deck will be available for supporters with who can turn up on the day with a £10 charge. Director of Rugby Pat Howdle is hoping for some good support on the day '' The club is in the spotlight in more ways than one this Saturday and it is our first chance of major silverware in the best part of 20 years.''
