KCYL U'15 WITHDRAWAL

KCYL U'15 WITHDRAWAL

STATEMENT REGARDING U’15

It is with regret that the Management of the U’15 team felt that they had no alternative but to withdraw from the Kent County Youth League.

It follows a very exciting and exceptional start to the season with extremely good results in what is supposed to be the local elite league for youth football.

A lot of hard work, dedication and commitment came from all involved with the team for it to reach this high standard of playing football.

The U’15 team is a multi-cultural team from a diverse range of sometimes challenging backgrounds. On the pitch they have achieved beyond all expectations. Their experience of success has already enriched their lives socially and educationally. Entering into the KCYL was the next progressive stage for the team to take. However from day one it was made very obvious that it was not going to be easy for us in the KCYL. How very true this was!

The position and relationship of our club became untenable and officials of our club have been very upset, whether it be by email, telephone or in person. Although the U’15 team is a youth team, the officials are adults and are unhappy with our treatment by the KCYL, albeit constituntionally.

We are taking our concerns further to The FA.

The ambition and courage of this team will not falter, they will continue to play, enjoy and embrace the game that we all love.
