CAMBRIDGE CITY POSTPONED

2 years ago By Jules Redeye

After an afternoon pitch inspection tomorrows scheduled fixture away to Cambridge City has been postponed.

Due to the exceptional distance Bideford will travel and the early departure such a journey will necessitate, the Southern League allowed special permission for a pitch inspection to be held the day before the scheduled fixture.

As a result, the 4.30pm Friday inspection - which took in to account both the current standing water at certain areas on the pitch and the forecast for the next 12 hours - deemed the game very unlikely to be fulfilled and therefore postponed it to be re-scheduled at a date to be confirmed.

Bideford's next fixture will therefore be - weather permitting - away at St Albans on Monday evening.
