Due to the exceptional distance Bideford will travel and the early departure such a journey will necessitate, the Southern League allowed special permission for a pitch inspection to be held the day before the scheduled fixture.
As a result, the 4.30pm Friday inspection - which took in to account both the current standing water at certain areas on the pitch and the forecast for the next 12 hours - deemed the game very unlikely to be fulfilled and therefore postponed it to be re-scheduled at a date to be confirmed.
Bideford's next fixture will therefore be - weather permitting - away at St Albans on Monday evening.
