Bideford began pre-season with a 2-1 victory at Exmouth Town of the South West Peninsula League. Billy Tucker gave Bideford the lead with a first half free kick before a late Matt Dawson equaliser looked like giving the home side a share of the spoils. However Downing struck with virtually the last kick of the game to give the Robins the win.
