FA TROPHY: DIDCOT TOWN FC PREVIEW

Bideford entertain South & West Div 1 side Didcot Town at the Sports Ground on Saturday for the 1st QR of this years FA Trophy. £2,700 to the victor.

Its Biddy vs Diddy as the home side play their first game of the FA Trophy, whilst the visitors have already had to overcome Marlow United of the Thames Valley Football League 3-1.


Biddy fans will remember Oxfordshire based side Didcot from their last season in that division during the 11/12 championship winning season, and their last encounter was at the Sports Ground in March 2012 where goals from Richard Groves and Kev Squires secured a 2-1 victory in front of almost 200 fans.


Didcot currently lie in 3rd place in SW Div1 with 27pts from their 14 games, with an overall league record so far of P14 W8 D3 L3 F30 A20.
Their league run is impressive currently, and their 7-0 victory against Bashley last Saturday saw them extend their unbeaten run to 10 games. Their Cup runs are less so with only one win in 4 games (Marlow FC).
