Announcement published today online in the North Devon Journal:
Massey, who was recently sacked as Truro City manager, will work alongside Sean Joyce for the Calor League club. Joyce, the Bideford manager since 1998, has been keen to add to his staff after Tom Kelly left earlier this season. The role will see Massey working behind the scenes, pursuing commercial opportunities, as well as on the football side.
"He's an ex-pro who knows the game at this level and he's a successful businessman," said Joyce. "With the experience he's got, he's going to help us. It pushes us forward. Since Tom Kelly has gone I have been looking for the right person to come in."
Massey travelled to watch Bideford's recent games in the Premier Division at Chippenham Town and Cambridge City. The former Stockport County striker has had three spells as Truro manager and is respected for his knowledge of non-League football in the South West.
