Match Preview

Barnstaple Town return to the Sports Ground on Tuesday night for a bonus North Devon Derby in the Southern League Cup.

In the first round of the competition Bideford eased past Taunton Town with a 4-0 victory while Barnstaple edged by Tiverton Town on penalties after a 1-1 draw at Mill Road. Both teams are in similar form going into tonight's clash. Bideford were unlucky not to get a point at league leaders Hereford on Saturday but will have been encouraged by the performance. Previous to that they were unbeaten in four. Barnstaple suffered a narrow loss at home to Evesham United on Saturday but have scored a couple of big wins recently over Bridgwater Town and Farnborough in the FA Trophy.
