A Brief History of Moneyfields FC
Moneyfields FC are based in Portsmouth and were founded in 1987 as Portsmouth Civil Service. The club joined the Hampshire League in 1991 winning Division Three in their first season. In 1992/93 they were Division Two champions and were promoted to Division One where they finished 3rd in 1993/94. The club then changed their name to Moneyfields in 1994 and were crowned Hampshire League champions in 1996/97. Moneyfields then joined the Wessex League in 1998. In 2016/17 Moneyfields finished top of the Wessex League Premier Division but were demoted to runners-up after being deducted three points for fielding an ineligible player. Despite this, Moneyfields were promoted to the Southern League East Division for the 2017/18 season. This season will be the first time Moneyfields have competed in the FA Trophy.
