DIDCOT TOWN 0 BIDEFORD 0
Steve Oliver was the hero as Bideford brought back a hard earned point from Didcot on Saturday.
Oliver saved an 84th minute Felipe Barcelos penalty to secure a point for The Robins in an entertaining goalless draw at Loop Meadow. After an early scare with Barcelos shooting wide, Bideford took control and would've been in front but for a splendid Leigh Bedwell save from a Ben Seymour header. Bedwell had to be on his toes soon after to tip over from a Sean Downing header, while at the other end Steve Oliver made a good save to deny Barcelos.
In a second half of fewer chances Bedwell denied Seymour again saving with his legs after a Bideford breakaway and Oliver denied Barcelos again tipping his strike past the post. The game's big moment came in the 84th minute as George Reid was brought down in the box but Oliver dived to his right to save Barcelos' penalty. The Bideford stopper's work wasn't done there however as he was forced to make an excellent save from a Dave Murphy curling effort late on to ensure the game finished all square.
