Bideford vs Moneyfields
Southern League Division One South
Saturday 24th November 2018
2:15pm kick off
Sports Ground, Bideford
******************** DON'T FORGET IT'S A 2:15PM KICK OFF *********************
It’s no wins in three for Bideford after Tuesday night’s 4-3 defeat at Bristol Manor Farm but The Robins did show a lot of fight in the second half coming back from 4-0 down and almost snatching an unlikely point. Things are not about to get any easier on Saturday with the visit of the division’s form team, Moneyfields. The Hampshire side are without defeat in their last nine games in all competitions (barring a penalty shootout loss to Fawley in the Russell Cotes Cup) and have not been beaten in the league since August. They also reached the 3rd Qualifying Round of the FA Cup before going out to Worthing in a close game.

Moneyfields FC are based in Portsmouth and were founded in 1987 as Portsmouth Civil Service. The club joined the Hampshire League in 1991 winning Division Three in their first season. In 1992/93 they were Division Two champions and were promoted to Division One where they finished 3rd in 1993/94. The club then changed their name to Moneyfields in 1994 and were crowned Hampshire League champions in 1996/97. Moneyfields then joined the Wessex League in 1998.
