New Players Welcome
Bideford Ladies team showed all their best qualities in the 2010/11 season: resilience, determination, competitiveness, sportsmanship and above all humour and friendship.
Early in the season the team lacked pace and experience ans was very severely punished by street-wise opponents on several occasions. However no heads dropped and no-one moaned or criticised. In a positive environment novices improved rapidly, team members played out of position as needed, several new mums returned to the fray, and gradually we learned to improve together.
Throughout all the ups and downs Bideford Ladies and their supporters continued to provide much admired post match hospitality to visiting teams and everyone conspired to celebrate- win or lose! Several social events further helped to integrate new members and foster friendship.
We aim to continue to build this season, and very much welcome new players, whether experienced or complete novices, regardless of age (17+), level of fitness or athletic ability. Anyone interested can contact this years Skipper Carol Norman on 07912866860. or e-mail;
