FROM 1st TO LAST
BIGGLESWADE TOWN 1 v REDDITCH UNITED 0
Report by Mike Draxler
Lessons learnt from last week, to immediate effect as the Waders kicked off against mid-table rivals Redditch. Never giving space or time on the ball, I cant really remember a serious shot from the visitors in the first half. Greg Kaziboni was at his dazzling best as he displayed his silky skills on the right flank. With no connection to his cross balls, Greg moved to the centre of the park to slide a ball perfectly into the running Jack Bowen. Jack still had it all to do, bearing down on goal, defenders approaching. Cool, like the day, Jack put his shot across the keeper and into the waiting net and applause. Fantastic for Jack as it has been a while since he last scored.
This was never going to be a high scoring match, with both sides cancelling out in the middle of the park. Waders were dominant and perhaps the visitors best chance came to their captain James Mutton to head over from a free kick. Always combative and enjoyable against Redditch, it was our turn to win. A new experience after recent run of losses.
Next up Kings Langley Away. Up the Waders.
