Bilborough United Under 8's Information

Please see below info on the under 8's team which include a start date and times etc.

Bilborough United are on the lookout for football loving boys and girls who will be aged 6 and 7 between 1st September 2011 and 31st August 2012 who would be interested in joining our football club as it starts to invest for the future by the setting up of our Junior Football Academy. The club will look to start at under 8 level this year and then a new under 8's team every year once the current under 8's move up into a competitive competition from under 9's and then into under 10's then 11's year after year etc which will see the other teams each year follow suit.

The under 8's will start off as weekly coaching sessions ran by the clubs proffessional coaches which all will be a minimum of level one standard. The club will also be working together with the Tesco Skills coaches. Once the sessions have become established the plan is to play a friendly fixtures agianst other under 8 sides in the local area at the back end of the season.

The clubs welfare officer will be Dean Seymour who is also one of the coaches. Dean is a level 1 qualified FA football coach. Other coaches taking the sessions will be Gary Richardson, Paul Manning and Jonny Simons. These coaches will all have the necessary CRB checks in place that are needed by law to be able to coach children.

The sessions will take place on the specific under 8 area at Bilborough Sports College which will be located at the bottom of the senior pitch next to the Bilborough Academy. The sessions will start at 10am until 11.30am and will incurr a small charge of £2 per player per session. Please visit the location link on the main site for a map and post code.

The under 8's will commence on Saturday 6th August 2011 and be weekly from then on until April 2012

At the moment there will be a maximum of 15 places and will be occupied on a 1st come 1st served basis but if the club recieve a large number of applicants then we will of course look into expanding our numbers and recruit more coaches to accommodate.
