Straight from the KO Bingham regained possession played a couple of phases before Matt Thomas ran in from 15m for a dream start. Anthony Thomas had his kicking boots with him as he kicked 5 conversions and 2 penalties as well as crossing the line in the last 10 minutes. Jonathan Thomas made it a family affair getting a try in the 1st half as all 3 brothers scored with dad not there; tut tut.

Dan Bartram also crossed the line in the 1st half and half time Bingham were heading 27 – 7 after a number of errors had allowed Giants a simple score.

The 2nd half playing uphill did not let Giants have a sniff of the line and whilst it took some time to get going, eventually took the game 53 – 7 running in 4 tries in the 2nd half from Nick Halstead, Nick Green and Anthony Thomas. Ben McGill creating the final try almost plucking the ball out of thin air from a 22m drop out.

A lot still to work on as the league beckons on 8 September – all please get down to training.
