There is less than a month to go before the 2014 season concludes and there is still plenty to play for in what is a key weekend for Birkenhead Park's 1st AND 2nd teams.

Following their narrow victory at Bootle last week, the 1s take on fellow strugglers Rainhill at Park Drive.

Another win could essentially secure the hosts Premier League consolidation for another season but they face a stern challenge against a side armed with the league's leading wicket-taker Mohammed Qureshi.

It is an even bigger weekend for Mark Evan's 2nd team as they play two crucial games, one of which could secure them a well-earned trophy.

On the Saturday, they travel to play Formby as they look to keep themselves top of the Premier League.

Sunday then sees them compete in the Chester Cup final as they make the short journey across the Wirral to play Wallasey in what promises to be a mouth-watering contest. The two sides played each other earlier this month with Park winning comprehensibly.
