Birkmyre S1's were untroubled by a relatively new Irvine team yesterday, scoring at least 18 tries to a creditable 1 by Irvine.

Despite a couple of late call offs Birkmyre managed to field a team of 11 and play a fantastic game of attacking ball in hand rugby.

The superb pitch suited Birkmyre and once quick ball was won by the pack the ball was released quickly by the half backs Moglia and Harvey giving the back line countless opportunities to cross the try line.

Too many scorers to mention but speedy winger Cammy Marr alone scored 7!

Man of the match was Kieran Kennedy and all the boys played very well with several players in contention for this accolade.

Irvine's lack of experience showed but they had a few large lads and with some fast runners they will improve on this performance. Well done to them for playing through to the end.

This was the last fixture for the S1's for 2012 and they remain unbeaten this season. There are many big games coming up in the New Year and we look forward to the challenges ahead and getting our long term injury player Jamie Ewing back too!

Thanks to all the parents for their continued support.

The S1's would like to wish you all a Merry Xmas and a very Happy New Year!

Cheers

Jam
