Hi everyone, here's an update on the Hadrian Cup 2019.
REGISTRATION: If you want to take advantage of the early bird discount of £15 you need to register individually BEFORE this Saturday, December 1st. If you register afterwards the cost is £25. The club is not subsidising these registration costs. You can register via the Ravens' Hadrian Cup website: www.hadriancup.co.uk
Please update your attendance at the Hadrian Cup on the club's Pitchero website if you can, or let me know you are attending and email Moose too, so we are aware who is planning to attend.
ACCOMODATION: Following feedback and the logistical issues in organising a single shared accommodation, this is no longer an option we are pursuing. Instead, Liam Smith has been undertaking some research and found the following hotel which is in central Newcastle, close to amenities and the gay pubs etc.
Holiday Inn Express, Newcastle City Centre, Waterloo Square, St James Boulevard, Newcastle-upon-Tyne NE1. Twin or double rooms are currently approximately £35 pppn, with two sharing and include breakfast (this is the non-refundable rate, with payment made upfront and no cancellation allowed). So approximately £70 for two nights stay if sharing, or £140.00 if booking a room for yourself.
If you book using www.agoda.com via the link below you should get the best rates at the moment.
Twin and double room availability is limited so if you do wish to use this hotel and can commit to booking now, with a buddy, I suggest you do so. Some people have already booked rooms. Other hotels are of course available, but I don't propose to do more research on this at the moment.
TRAVEL: I'm still exploring the option of a hire vehicle of some sort if enough people are interested, there are people carriers available for 7-9 people that would come out at approximately £30pp with hire/fuel based on 9 travelling together. The train at the moment is approx £115.00. Or people can car share. This can be decided nearer the time.
