TO TRAIN or not to train, that is the question occupying Bishop's Cleeve boss Alex Sykes' mind during this current cold snap.

With apparently little hope of the Villagers' game against Yate Town tomorrow going ahead due to forecast snow and freezing temperatures, Sykes has been left in something of a pickle.

Does he give his players time off from their preparations in order to rest and recharge ahead of what is set to be a busy run-in, or is it business as usual?

"Having looked at the forecast it doesn't look too great," Sykes said.

"I've been checking the forecast and if it snows and then gets warm enough to melt the snow it will probably get waterlogged, so it's a bit of a no-win.

"It's an especially difficult one as I contemplated giving the players the night off training last night as it would be good to get them rested.

"But then I wouldn't have seen them for six days and if the game somehow does go ahead, then we probably wouldn't be as prepared as we would like to be.

"The way it's going we're going to have a big backlog of fixtures which is quite punishing on the players.

"That's when you pick up injuries, so it's doubly frustrating for everyone.
