Bideford increased their lead at the top of the table to fourteen points when, having taken the lead on the stroke of half time, they scored twice in the final twenty minutes to complete a 3-0 win at bottom of the table Stourport Swifts, leaving the visitors thirteen points adrift with just five games remaining. Sholing moved into second place with a goal mid-way through the first half giving them a 1-0 win at Taunton Town while Hungerford Town slipped to third when a goal early in the second half gave Mangotsfield United a 1-0 home win. Poole Town scored a penalty three minutes from the end to win 1-0 at home against Halesowen Town and move into fourth place above Gosport Borough who drew 1-1 at home scoring four minutes after Clevedon Town had taken the lead with a quarter of an hour remaining but Paulton Rovers had their play-off hopes dented when they went down 1-0 at Didcot Town. Thatcham Town, a goal behind after six minutes, scored with twelve minutes remaining to draw 1-1 at Tiverton Town but Cinderford Town, two behind at the interval, lost 3-0 at home to Wimborne Town, who moved out of the bottom two at the expense of Abingdon United who conceded two goals in the second half to lose 2-0 at home to Yate Town.
