Manager Steve Cleal will take the positives from last weeks FA Trophy defeat against high fying North Leigh into Saturdays long trip to Burnham as they look to continue their recent run of results.
The Kayte Lane club picked up 5 points out of 9 in September and face the long trip to Burnham in a confident mood having competed well against the league leaders.
“we played some nice football at times against the league leaders so we can take some positives from that, Harlie came in and showed signs of getting back to how he was before he went to Australia and that was another huge positive but we still lost the game. So we need to go to Burnham Saturday and look to get a result”
Mike Sholly could be in line for a recall after playing for the reserves Saturday having not featured since the shock FA Cup defeat to Tuffley Rovers. Ed Major could also come back into the squad whilst Dan White is expected to play another 90 mins for the reserves.
“Sholly is an honest lad and having got the deserved accolades in a difficult season last year this year for a number of reasons it hasn’t clicked for him, but he has a work rate and an energy second to none so if we can get him right he is a huge asset for this football club”
Luke Hitchman is struggling with a groin injury so is rated at 50/50 but if fit he is likely to play for the reserves to gain match fitness following his suspension. Jack Horrell has returned to Plymouth University so is unavailable for the trip to Burnham or the league cup game in midweek.
Burnham were beaten 2-0 at Slimbridge last time out and have won only once at home this year.
So the Mitres will be looking for a positive return #upthemitres
