Khalsa 1 - 1 BIFC
All square up newbog....
Bishops lined up with a familiar side. Charlie dropped to the bench to catch up on some Z's and was joined by Sam Harris, fresh from a week at work.
There is never a lot between these 2 teams when they meet, with both teams matching workrate for possession of the football.
Bishops started strong, with a couple of half chances which is what Khalsa were restricted to.
Gaz got the important goal just before half time, as he broke from midfield on to Jordans cross and lifted over the keeper nicely with a combination of left knee, right ankle and a bit of ginger determination.
After half time, again the game ebbed and flowed, with both teams having spells in the game. Khalsa worked a nice goal to equalise, with Sukhi coming from deep to finish past Nathan in goal. Nathan had been largely untroubled in goal for the first hour or so previously.
Bishops looked for a winner, which left them more open at the back but neither side could get the goal. Harris squared one late on but no one could get a toe to it with the goal gaping and Jonny was halted just as he was about to pull the trigger by a fine tackle from the tracking Khalsa defender.
A fair point all in all.
