Police 0 - 3 BIFC
3 Points from the Police..
Bishops turned up to the Police with the same kit as the home side. Also, with no water bottles on a searing hot day. Its fair to say things didnt start well. Police changed their tops and the ref Erik was happy for us to play wearing the same colour shorts and socks.
Bishops took the lead after Smiler played through Turts who rolled past the stranded Police keeper. Gaz Williams made it 2 after a neat Bishops move, and casually volleyed the ball waist high from the edge of the box. The ball hit both posts and seemed to take an age to go in, but a lovely strike nonetheless.
Police had to make a change, after their right winger got injured on a pot hole. On came Mark Rolwett of the league committee to roll back the years.
Bishops also had to make a change as a rolled ankle meant Jonny B had to come off, Charlie sauntered on in his place. The game kind of drifted from here, Bishops playing some good stuff but not creating anything clear cut.
Half time refreshments were served after Jodie went to the shop for us all, well played that girl.
After HT, Bishops made hard work of making it more, several chances and half chances went begging before Jordan poked home following a Gaz corner that finally beat the first man.
Nath tried to make the game interesting from a Police point of view, but nothing got through and Bishops got the 3 points and a clean sheet to boot.
