BIFC 5 - 1 Harbury
After last weeks spluttering efforts, a local derby v Harbury was just what was needed to get the BIFC engine purring again. An early morning pitch inspection was carried out and the pitch was deemed playable so it was all systems go from 9am onwards.
Regular faces were welcomed back as Bishops started strongly down the slope. Turts opened up with a close range header, after find work down the left from Calum Yeates. Jase Bradshaw made it 2 with a fine volley on the turn from the edge of the box and from here it looked like Bishops would turn the screw, with Bishops causing a Mangala led defence regular problems. When attacking a corner, Bishops lost cheap possession and this allowed Tommo to score a fine individual goal.
Half time came about and we looked to build on our lead without letting Harbury back in to it. Rob did just that, when he managed to head the ball into his well chiseled shoulder, which then looped over Adzy to make it 3-1. Joel the goal made it 4-1 when he lashed home from inside the box, following smart work from Jase.
Ryry got in on the act late on, after some fine dining at one of Warwicks fine curry houses the night before, by firing low in the corner like a young Jon Arne Riise after Bennetts backheel.
A good mornings work, with a much improved performance from all.
