This week sees us return to more familiar territory than most this season with our trip to Cambridge .
Cambridge currently lie 3 places and 12 points behind Stortford in the league - a good measure of the tremendous progress made by our team this season - but a win at Esher last week following an 11 point home defeat by Blackheath(with whom they reportedly competed well for most of the game) demonstrates clearly that they are not a team to be taken lightly.
Cambridge's side last week included all but one of the threequarters who appeared against us in 2016 and any side that can have Matt Hema on the bench (who played very well against us for Bury St Edmunds two seasons ago) is not to be taken lightly. Griffiths at hooker and Bretag-Norris in the second row are the only forwards surviving from that time, but Rob Conquest, a very powerful second row is well known to many of our players from Herts County games.
Stortford and their legion of traveling supporters will doubtless be hoping for something like our memorable 12-29 victory at Cambridge in January 2016 - Cambridge's promotion season - but our team will need to repeat their tremendous performance last week against Loughborough, if such a result is to be achieved.
