Swifts Sundays made it a cup double last night at Bishop's Stortford beating holders Manuden Utd 3-2 in the Premier Cup. Reduced to a bare 11 after Adam Leach got injured in the warm up, Swifts started well against a good Manuden side and play was even until the 20th minute when a good run from Huntly ended with his ball into the box finding Dan Gildersleve who side footed home from 3 yards. Swifts remained solid and 10 minutes later a long diagonal ball forward from Joe Rudkin dropped between two Manuden players and fell to Ross Morris, who chested it down and beat the keeper. The second half saw Manuden attacking well and they were rewarded on 84 minutes when a mix up in the Swifts box saw the ball put home by Matt McCullaugh. Two minutes later Manuden were level when a corner was headed home superbly by Dan Maslen on 86 minutes. With no substitutes and several suffering cramp, Swifts were looking shaky if it went to extra time. A free kick on 25yds in the last minute was then struck superbly by Huntly and parried by the Manuden keeper and MOM Jamie Bull stroked the winner home for Swifts.
