Bitton advanced to the next round of the Les Phillips league cup with a 4-0 win over Welton Rovers

Dean Griffiths came back into the side after a lengthy suspension and opened the scoring early on when he capitalised on a goalkeeping error to drill home. Adam Mahdi doubled the lead half way through the first half when he followed up his own shot to slam the ball into the net.

Welton came back into the game at the start of the second half but were unable to break down a resolute Bitton defence. Tom Knighton put the game to bed mid way through the second period from the penalty spot after a Welton player pulled down Tooze in the box.

The game was wrapped up in the final five minutes as two substitutes combined, Reeko Best beat his man out wide before delivering a pinpoint cross for Callum Baker do head home

The draw for the next round has already taken place and we will travel to face 1st division side Almondsbury on the 18th November
