Olympic Torch Relay in Blackburn

Volunteers are being sought to support Sports clubs, community groups, and various organisations who are coming together on Torch Day to put on a Community Celebration Event.

There will be sporting and cultural activities taking place in and around the town centre to welcome the Olympic Torch.

The Community Celebration Event will take place as the Torch progress along its route through Blackburn; 9am - 2pm.
Volunteers are needed to help in the following roles:

Pre and post event set up/clear away
Meet & Greet Marshalls
Conference Room Coordinators
Performance Area Coordinators
Area Marshalls

You must:

Be available from around 7am until 2pm, although some may be required for longer
Have a mobile phone
Be 18 years or over.
Be available to attend a briefing session on Tuesday, June 19 at 6pm

All volunteers will receive a free T-shirt

This will be one of the most exciting events this year, Be Inspired, Be InVOLved!
