2 great days out with the big boys!

Our under 11 squad extended their season this year by getting involved in the U20 World Championships over the last few weeks.
First up was a trip to Manchester City stadium on June 11th, where the boys and girls enjoyed games featuring all the home nations, each recording valuable wins. Our boys and girl were even picked to form the guard of honour for the first fixture, Ireland V New Zealand and as a result got a great view of the Baby Blacks Haka. After the excitement of the historic win by the Irish, the kids watched their favourites, England, demolish a spirited Scottish side.
Our next outing was Saturday 25th - the day of the A finals. An early start saw us heading off to Aldwinians for an RFU sponsored u11 tournament, featuring teams from all over the north west. Going into the last game we had not conceded a single try, then Rochdale caught us napping to spoil our 100% record. Steph Veal, an RDO from Manchester was keen to let us know we were the best team there, so we finished on a high.
From there we spun round to the AJ Bell, and had the pleasure of watching all the A final games between the top 6 teams, including the cracking game between England and Ireland. The best team on the day won out, but there was plenty of hope both sides fore the future.

Huge thanks to all the kids and their parents for their support in this elongates season. Special mention to golden girl Connie, who played her last game in Burn colours. Good to see her and the other girls at the tournament being given good advice for the future by the likes of Steph, I am sure it will be one amazing future too!
