5 months ago By BC Rangers

A merger to strengthen the development of football in the Black Country community.

As of the 1st June WMRL Premier Division side Black Country Rangers and Sunday league outfit Black Country Fusion will merge and become one club, this will consist of 5 adult teams with a brand new youth academy attached.

Black Country Rangers
Black Country Reserves
Black Country Fusion
Black Country Ladies
Black Country Vets

Both teams will be working together to create "The Black Country Academy" and with both having creative visions for the future and the desire to build something to give back to the community "The Black Country Academy" will give the youth of today a chance to work through various steps in football and allow them to focus on key elements whilst maintaining high standards. Rangers chair, Paul Garner is very excited to be working along side Skye Stewart who will become vice chair of the club Paul Garner says

This is something as a club we have been looking to do for a long time, we just needed to make sure we had the right people to meet this new challenge head on.

Non league football is about people sharing a vision and common goal, Andy Harris my right hand man has been with the club going on 20 years now and we feel bringing Skye onboard who has so much passion for the game and desire to improve on something successful she has already built it will only propel the club to greater heights..

Skye is ready to be bring her teams and media expertese to the set up and is excited about the future and any new challenges that may lie ahead.

Rangers are currently flying high in the WMRL Premier Division under newly appointed manager Wayne Spicer who has and will continue to play an integral part of the merger.

Everyone shares the same goals, to make this club the next big thing in the Black Country area and with the support of our local community and for the love of the game we have no doubts this can be successful in years to come.

Over the coming months there will be a transition period as all teams continue in thier respective league campaigns but the future is bright, we are focused on the task in hand and very much looking forward to seeing where this takes us.
