Black Country Rangers fight back to win
Black Country Rangers 5 v 2 Dudley Town
After a run of three games without a win BCR hosted Dudley town in their first home games of the season after five consecutive away games.
It was a disastrous start to the game for the home side who found themselves behind after just 29 seconds, a poor set pass by holding midfielder Daniel Forrest let the Dudley forward in on goal and he made no mistake as he rounded on loan Hednesford goalkeeper Liam Haynes to give Dudley an early lead.
Another poor flurry of passes almost saw Dudley extend their lead as Haynes was forced into a low save at his near post to prevent the away side doubling their advantage.
That seemed to be the wakeup call BCR needed as the midfield three of Smith, Ologu and Chilton quickly exchanged passes before releasing Fuller down the left-hand side, his over hit cross fell to Ologu who's goal bound effort was cleared out for a corner.
It was all one-way traffic and the home side finally made all their pressure count when Chilton released debutant Shaquille Mcdonald away down the left-hand side and the former Derby striker cut it back to Kieran Clarke who calmly slotted the ball home.
Just eight minutes later the home side took the lead for the for the first time in the game when Ologu was bought down on the edge of the area, former Derby striker Mcdonald stepped up and hammered home the resulting free kick to secure his first goal for BCR.
Half time: BCR 2 Dudley Town 1
At the break Dudley bought on the impressive Alex Cameron who already has potential suitors from higher leagues, within six minutes Dudley had pulled themselves level as a poorly defended set play allowed the Dudley full back to win the initial header before the striker tapped home from just four yards out.
It wasn't long until the home side resorted their lead, new signing from Heather St.Johns, Leon Weller won the ball from the Dudley forward before playing the ball into Chilton who released Mcdonald down the right hand side who scored a fantastic 30 yard chip to give his side the lead.
It wasn't long before it became four as the ever-impressive Jamel Fuller turned back the years with a tremendous performance, the former Willenhall and Walsall Wood full back hammered the ball into the bottom corner to give him his first goal of the season.
With twenty minutes on the clock it was that man Mcdonald again who secured his hat trick this time blasting the ball into the bottom right hand corner after some terrific movement from Lewis Archer create the opening.

Manager's quote "I'm pleased that we managed to react to our failure to win in the last three games but the lads showed a tremendous work ethic to get themselves back into the game today. We've bought in Shaq McDonald and Leon Weller over the recent weeks and they'll both be great additions to our squad. We need to stop giving away sloppy goals if we're going to achieve our goals this season but it's another step in the right direction and this was never going to be a quick fix at a club that's finished 15th and 13th in the last two seasons respectively. We need to be on top of our game for Pegasus next week and hopefully put in a strong performance for the full 90 minutes not just the 60 that we did today"
