Warley won toss and batted first, not what you wanted on the hottest day of the year!! Peely really needs to sort his tossing out!

With Beaky absent, shopping in York I believe, the bowling attack was looking on the young side with four 18 or under.

After losing Shannon early Cooper (51) and Oates (35) kept the board moving at a fair rate before Cooper departed on 76.
With wickets falling at regular intervals the run rate came tumbling down, when Oates was out with the score on 143 for 6 it looked like a score under 200.

Rashid (84*) was dropped behind second ball before dispatching the ball to all areas, assisted late on by Ahmed (36*) Peel was the pick of the bowlers with 3 – 61 off his 18 overs.

Blackley got off to a flyer, Ingle (47) Shiel (27) putting 86 for first wicket before Ingle was adjudge leg before. The middle order then were all dismissed by A Azam in a four over spell taking five wickets for no runs.
Reece Burke (57) maiden senior fifty, and Clarke (29*) got the score close before Burke was run out looking for a second. On his way to his fifty Reece hit a glorious straight six back over the sight screen into the horse field, not quite as far as seniors on Sunday!! Fairbank (10*) came in to block the last over, very unorthodox, hitting a straight 6 and 4 through the covers!!

Reece Burke duly voted #kingofbiff

Question’s also asked regarding Peely’s wife parking?? Zac……….should have gone to specsavers
