The Fourths beat league leaders in a dramatic fashion in Stradbrook on Saturday. Rock fielded a mobile pack in a team that contained three sets of brothers, Mick and John Hearty making a comeback after a few years of absence, the Creavin frontrow and the O'Riordans. Rock went ahead early on thanks to a great forward effort, mauling all the way in from the Barnhall 22 before Stuart Crevin got the touchdown. Barnhall then stayed in the game through some penalties before taking an oppertunistic try in the last ten minutes to bring the game level @14 all. In the very last play of the game Mark Underwood stood up to take a penalty after one of their players hit a ruck from the side, to his delight the Barnhall pack objected so the ref gave us a further ten metres which gifted the game to Rock. Final Score 17-14. Undy picked up man of the match but others who put in a great game were Ben Creavin, Conor MaGee (Sorry conor), Emile, Gary O'Riordan and the ageless Phil Elliot. Steve Kelly would have gotten a good mention except he let the creavins down by getting binned.
