For the second Week in a row the Fourths beat a higher placed team and this time, leapfrogged Coolmine by winning 21-12 and denying them a bonus point
Coolmine is one of the hardest places to bring a team to but coaches Alex Creavin and Ross McCormack ensured the whole team was prepared, focused and hungry for a win. Two first half tries from man of the match Chris Godwin, one coming from an excellent front row effort had rock lead 14-5 at the interval. Coolmine came out in the second half desperate to breach the Rock line but were unable to due to an outstanding defensive display from the likes of Carl O'Riordan, Stuart Creavin, Gerry Liston and Barra Neary. They did get a breakaway try in the last ten to put them within touch of a loosing bonus point but Rock showed great composure and team spirit to go on the offensive yet again. This paid off with several great scrums and attacking play resulting in Emile breaking three tackles, side stepping the full back and going in under the posts in the final play of the game. This is a team in the best sense of the word and like last week do not give up and play the full 80 minutes.
