The Blaenavon born Member of Parliament attended the Blues home Gwent County league fixture against Malpas United on Saturday 27th March; a match that the Blues won 3-0.
Before kick-off Nick was invited on to the pitch and was presented with a club shirt by club captain Mike Waite.
Blaenavon Blues would like to thank Nick Thomas-Symonds MP for taking the time out of his busy schedule to attend Saturday’s game and accepting his shirt. Nick has kindly supported the club in the past and was at our British Heart Foundation charity fixture back last summer.
Nick Thomas-Symonds MP said “I was proud to receive the Blaenavon Blues shirt. Grassroots sport is so important to our local communities here in Torfaen. From the youth teams to the senior teams, Blaenavon Blues encourage participation in football and bring great benefits to our town. Everyone involved with the club - players, coaches, staff and supporters – deserve great credit for the work they do”
