Busy 7 Days for Blofield

This Saturday (13th May) see's the Annual End of Season Presentation evening taking place at the Clubhouse, doors open from 7pm.

Apart from the usual team player of the year awards (voted for by the players themselves), there is also supporter's player of the year, young player of the year and club top goal scorer awards up for grabs.

Entertainment is being provided by Nick Moore Disco.

Following this, we have the clubs Annual General Meeting which will be held again at the clubhouse on Monday 15th May, 7.30pm start. Any current or potential new club member(s) are welcome to attend.

It is hoped the club will be able to confirm the new first team manager shortly following this meeting.

Finally massive congratulations to both Mulbarton and Spixworth on their recent triumphs in the cup and league respectively. We've had some almighty battles with 'Spixy' over the last few seasons and we wish them well in their new venture at Thurlow Nunn level.

Commiserations to Harleston. When they tonked us 6-0 in such emphatic fashion early on in the season, I must admit I could not see anyone else touching them. How wrong I was!! In all fairness, to amass 80 points and finish runners up is extremely unlucky.

It's also sad to learn that another of our recent fierce competitors, Cromer, have fallen on hard times and are close to folding. However, I did read tonight that some people have contacted them offering help and we hope that they can find a way to survive & pull through this difficult time.

The clubhouse is certainly a hive of activity and a number of events are booked in to take place over the next 18 months. Whilst this is good financially for the club, none of these events can be run without the constant help and support of the committee members who continue to give up their spare time for the club.

Finally congratulations to our long time serving bar maid Angie, who got married to Nick last Saturday. Best wishes to you both from all at Blofield FC.
