The new Anglian Combination football season finally kicks off again tomorrow for the first team with the visit of Waveney to the Rec (2.30pm ko).
It's a new era for the club as it will be Damian Didwell's first competitive game in charge of the beavers. Generally I believe he is happy with the way pre season has gone and he certainly has put together a reasonable squad which its hoped will be challenging at the top end of the table.
All the committee wish Damo, Nick, Adam & the lads the very best for which we hope is a successful season.
The reserves kicked off life back in Division 3 with an excellent 3-2 win away at near neighbours Freethorpe. Scorers were a Dan Stobbart brace and apparently a 'worldy' from Duncan Whitlam. They will be looking to follow this win up with a similar result away at Long Stratton tomorrow (2.30pm ko).
Best of luck to both teams tomorrow.
