Blofield United 5 Beccles Town 2

Cable rises to collect a Blofield corner Remblance was starting to make his presence known as Danny wins the ball. Action following another Blofield corner as Cable takes no chances and punches the ball away. Matty gets in on the action and places a firm header back into the Beccles area.
Neil MacMorran rises to head the ball clear following a Blofield corner. Alan Remblance trying to stop Ben advancing down the wing Tom Roberts is unable to stop Chris having a shot on goal following a long clearance by Woodie Ben leaves Waterman in his wake as he sets off on another attack.
Nuts! Ben plays the ball between Roberts legs to Chris Following another quick move Chris prepares to shoot. The shot was saved. Ben gets in on the action and has a shot which goes wide. Captain Kris steps up from the back and has a shot
Cable manages to take the sting out of the shot and the ball goes out for a corner. Blofield were in command at this stage and being afforded lots of space which Ben takes advantage of as he crosses the ball following a short corner. Danny Cable in goal cuts out the cross before it reaches Greg and Danny who were on the far post. Following a mistake by Cable who took the ball out of the area while still holding it, Chris takes the free kick
Beccles have put a four man wall in front of Chris but he bends the ball around them. Goal!

Blofield United 2 Beccles Town 0 Congratulations Chris. Chris was having a field day and here Roberts cannot get his arm out of the way which resulted in a Blofield free kick which came to nothing.
Marti Myhill shadows Ben as he cuts across to the right handside Greg with oodles of time plays the ball out for Danny Mac Following A Beccles corner, Ant Martin tries to get some contact on the ball but Woodie collects the ball cleanly. No wonder the bench look perplexed, is Chris auditioning for Strictly Come Dancing as well ?
As Blofield were frequently getting behind the Beccles rear guard it fell to Danny Cable to clear Rushie out jumping Ant Martin on this occasion. It has to be said that Ant played a dominant role in the air today. Unfortunately his two other forwards were not able to capitalise on this. Even though Greg has three players around him, he still manages to pass the ball to Chris. Being mindful not to handle outside the area again,Danny Cable heads the ball away from Danny Mac
Colin works his way into the box and shoots. But Cable is able to make a comfortable save . Colin dispossess Alan Remblance and plays a pass through to Danny Mac. Craig Peters is called into action to deny Danny Mac with Cable out of position.
That's one way to stop the opposition! Foul! Bensley takes advantage of some indecision in the Blofield defence to race towards goal unchallenged.
He shoots. Goal! He scores.

Blofield United 2 Beccles Town 1 Ben eager to get on the score sheet shoots from the edge of the area
Cable has this covered. Not much was going right for Remblance as Matty successfully relieves him of the ball James Basey-Fisher showing his ariel prowess against Hall. Craig Peters slides in to take the ball away from Ben and thereby bring another promising move to a halt.
And again it was left to Craig to mark Ben who was causing the Beccles defence all sorts of problems Rushie jumps with Ant Martin who had taken to flicking the ball on with the back of his head. Another example of this tactic being employed With his defence having gone AWOL, Danny Cable races out of his area again to clear the danger and deny Chris
Second Half. Blofield are quickly on the attack through Ben who is closely marked by Craig Peters. Neil Macmorran tries to close Chris down but he cannot stop the mercurial striker from passing across the face of goal to Danny Mac who is unable to profit from the move. Chris raids down the left hand side and despite Macmorrans attention still manages to work his way to the edge of the box.
Chris has worked an angle and space for this shot which is saved Greg is put under pressure from Craig Peters before passing up the line to Chris James about to pass with Bensley tracking him James being put under pressure by Craig Peters the only Beccles player who seemed up for tackling at this stage.
Danny Mac flicks the ball goal bound with keeper Cable stranded. Goal number three coming up? No! Alex Greengrass heads the ball off the line and away to safety. Ant Martin back helping his defence Colin sprints away from Waterman
Chris spins Macmorran in the box and shoots but it goes wide. Ben finds space after receiving a pass from Chris. It is blocked but the rebound goes to Danny Mac. Danny shoots and it takes an excellent save from Cable to stop Blofield getting their third goal of the day. Having been played through by Kris , Colin evades Macmorrans challenge and turns to create space for a shot
Having engineered the space ,Colin unleashes a powerful shot. Goal! Danny cannot prevent the ball from reaching the back of the net.

Blofield United 3 Beccles Town 1 Intricate interplay between Chris and Ben gives Ben the chance to score. However, Danny in goal does just enough to close Ben down before he shoots and Ben can only thwack the post. Remblance is not able to close Kris down and again Kris acts as provider for Colin
Colin picks up the pass and even though Ben wants it played to his feet, Colin elects to shoot. Cable pulls off a magnificent save to deny Colin getting his second goal of the day.The ball rebounds out to the edge of the area where it is whipped in The ball comes in behind Colin and the chance is gone. This made the linesman laugh at least.
No danger? Neil Macmorran heads a very high looping cross? into the area Goal!
It takes everyone by surprise and Ant Martin is there to finish it off.

Blofield United 3 Beccles Town 2 Straight from the kick off, the ball is played quickly into the Beccles box without a single Beccles player having touched the ball. Having beaten Cable, Chris shoots for goal. Will this bring up his hat trick?
Goal! Macmorran can only stand and stare as the ball nestles in the back of the net after only 20 seconds from the restart.

Blofield United 4 Beccles Town 2 Substitute Ray Masters joins the fray and immediately prevents Colin from exploiting the left wing No problem here for Greg as Waterman just sits on his shoulder. The Beccles back four kept playing high up the field which was fine for Chris as he races past two of them leaving them to play catchup.
Colin gets into the box with ease having flicked the ball over Macmorrans shoulder and squares the ball for Chris Chris shoots high and wide on this occasion Following a Blofield corner ,Masters relieves the pressure on the Beccles goal with a kick into row Z. The corner comes in and Rushie soars above every one to plant a powerful header into the net.
Goal!
Rushie finds the back of the net and Danny Cable, who was Beccles best player, can only reflect on what might have been had he not been in such good form today.
Blofield United 5 Beccles Town 2 Even with the final whistle about the blow Chris is continuing to torment the Beccles defence.
