Hempnall 0 Blofield United 7

Chris and Colin get the game under way. Tom Notley is quickly called into action. Karl Mills plays the ball out to Duncan. Duncan receives the pass and races towards the Hempnall area.
Skipper Kris Hart adding some much needed width as he puts in a dangerous cross which keeper Bunn cuts out. Karl challenges Ben Player for the ball. Tom then receives the pass from Karl and brings the ball out of defence. Tom got a way with this as he pulls Neil Renault back.
Ian, standing in for the suspended Ryan, makes a confident catch whilst under pressure from Oakley and Hunting. Oakley was proving at this stage to be a real handful as he places his header over the bar. Colin leaving the defender in his wake. Karl has two opponents to deal with.
Tom prevents the cross from coming in. Blinded by the sun, Ian looks on as the ball just creeps past the post. A real let off for Blofield. This spurred the Beavers on and Kris is very quickly down the other end putting in a dangerous cross. Kris takes flying lessons! Foul. This marks the start of the sequence leading up to the first goal.
The ball is played to Chris The defenders give him plenty of room to pass to Colin. Colin controls the ball He takes it one step forward as the defender comes charging in.
He pulls back the trigger and shoots from just inside the area. Goal!  The ball nestles in the back of the Hempnall net with keeper Bunn beaten.

Hempnall 0 Blofield United 1 Well Done! One minute later, Chris gets above the Hempnall defence to head Ben's superb cross into the path of Colin.
Colin advances a yard, steadies himself and shoots. Goal! The ball is hit with so much venom it rebounds out of the Hempnall net. 

Hempnall 0 Blofield United 2 Congratulations Colin. Aren't they Ben's boots you are wearing? Chris showing he is good in the air. I see he is not wearing his trade mark tie ups today- tubi grip.
Matty linking up with Ben down our right flank. Following an inter change of passing between Kris and Holmsie, Holmsie drives into the Hempnall area. Leaving a trail of fallen opponents, Chris watches as Captain Kris directs a powerful header goalwards which the keeper does well to save. For those wondering why we had a Mummy playing today, this is a sad reflection on todays society when you can't go for a drink with out some yobs beating you up.
Chris breaks free again Despite Ramsey's attempt to cut out the shot , Chris calls on the keeper to make a fine save. Following a Blofield corner,Aaron Bunn punches the ball clear. Adam Willis, who was a very early substitute, challenges Ben for the ball.
He doesn't succeed though. Matty gets forward and receives the pass from Ben On the edge of the area, Matty tries one of his thunderbolts but it clears the bar. Tom was having a fine game and here he breaks up a Hempnall attack and heads the ball clear.
Ouch! Ian is quick to react to an under hit  back pass.  The Hempnall player is given no time on the ball and with Greg's assistance the ball in soon back in Blofield's possession. Ben was causing the Hempnall defence all sorts of problems .
Ben gets a way from his marker and fires in a low cross into the area. Goal. Chris, anticipating the cross, meets it perfectly to put the ball beyond the keepers out stretched arm. Tom Ramsey can only stand and stare as the ball hits the back of the net.

Hempnall 0 Blofield United 3 Tom takes on 3 opponents.
Following an Hempnall corner, Ben Player heads over. Colin and Duncan exchange passes. Duncan then gets forward leaving Player in his wake. Darren adds his experience to another attack.
Second half. The sun has dropped dramatically over half time leaving the pitch in shadow. Here Kris continues where he left off in the first half and powers down the wing. Ben controls the ball Despite McFadden's attention, Ben is able to release Chris. Chris races into the area
He takes on the keeper and beats him. Then with an open goal he hits the post! The ball rebounds to Ben who sees his effort cleared off the line. The ball is loose in the Hempnall area and Greg challenges the Hempnall captain for the ball. Greg sticks with him and eventually Renault manages to clear the ball to safety.
Tom Notley's turn to have a shot. It was blocked. Colin cuts in from the right and shoots He follows in just in case the keeper spills the ball. Taking a pass from Duncan, Colin strides forward.
He then strokes the ball past the diving keeper . Goal. Colin completes his hat trick.


Hempnall 0 Blofield United 4 It must be the new boots! Greg evades one challenge in the area
He takes the ball to the line before attempting to cross to Chris who is unmarked on the far post. With the bit between his teeth, Colin goes for goal again while Chris creates the gap for him to shoot through. Striding down the right flank, Colin plays the ball over to Chris. From just outside the area Chris shoots. The ball clips Hunting and wrong foots keeper Bunn.
Goal!
Hempnall 0 Blofield United 5 Brettie who has come on for Ben quickly lets the Hempnall defence know what his intentions are. The keeper is unable to hold onto the ball and Richard gets up and crosses the ball into the area. Richard again on the attack taking on Hunting.
Ian stretches for the ball which he doesn't collect but he was quick enough to gather the ball as it fell before an Hempnal forward could dispatch it. Whitlam plays the ball to Colin standing in the area who immediately shoots catching out the keeper and the defender. He watches as the ball arrows into the back of the net. Goal!  The Hempnal player's body language says it all.

Duncan had a superb game assisting on at least 3 occassions Taking a pass from Chris, Colin attempts to audaciously chip the keeper from well outside the area. Goal! That's 5 for Colin this afternoon.

Hempnall 0 Blofield United 7 Even in the last few minutes Blofield continued to press forward.
Colin still in the thick of it. With virtually the last kick of the game Greg tries to get on the score sheet.
What a team performance given several regular first teamers were missing.
