Blyth are now the only unbeaten team in the league.

Blyth stretched their unbeaten run to 10 games but were made to fight all the way by a strong Richmondshire side. Playing down the slope in the first half Blyth were awarded a penalty on the halfway line and McCardel stepped up to convert. The same player added another penalty before a great break by the backs allowed Calvert to cross in the corner for the first try and McCardel added the difficult conversion. On the stroke of halftime the home side benefited from the referee missing a blatant forward pass which allowed them to score an unconverted try leaving the game poised at 13 - 5
The home side started the second half strongly and using the slope put Blyth under pressure resulting in their second try leaving Blyth only 1 point ahead. Richmond then shot themselves in the foot, crossing for a try but running around to put the ball down between the post but then dropping it in the act of touching down. With 10 mins left on the clock Calvert chased a long McCardel clearance kick, hacked ahead twice and outpaced the defense to increase Blyths lead, McCardel again kicking the goal. The home side tried to come back but some excellent defense kept them out to give Blyth the win
Next week Blyth are away to Seaham 2.15 ko
