The Juniors Finish with a Flourish

The last league game of the season saw us run out 12-0 winners away to Oratia Allsorts.

Despite nothing to play for in this final fixture we put in a great performance. We took control of the game straight away and created a number of chances, and it wasn’t long before the goals started to flow. Before we knew it was 6-0 and half time, and the only chance Oratia had was tipped onto the bar by stand in keeper Dan. The second half followed much the same pattern, Boca in total control and managed to rattle in another six goals. By the end Jammy, Wally, Craig and Steve grabbed themselves a goal, Adam ‘Can ya’ Jewell and Breandan both grabbed a brace, Breandan’s second was the goal of the game as his a great move finished with his rocket into the top corner. Dickie managed a great stop down low to his left during his stint in goals, and in his final game before returning to Holland Van Rob scored 4 goals to earn himself man of the match, you will be missed in the Plate and BCC but all the best back home.

So a great end to the season, we won all but 3 games, generally playing some great stuff. We averaged 5 goals a game, conceding only 1 a game on average also. A second place finish was deserved in the end, as we just came up short against Bohs both times, and were lucky to escape Oratia earlier in the season against the Renegades with a 1-1 draw. Now time for a small break the Plate semi-final against the Vets.
