Juniors get their groove back
The Juniors put in a far improved performance this week and were rewarded with a 7-0 victory over Esarn City Utd.
After some disappointing displays in recent weeks we were keen to start well. And we did just that, we got stuck in straight away, we played some great passes and were playing at pace, there was plenty of talking, exactly as we had been through pre-season. And before long we got our reward when Rob Wilson tucked away his first goal for Boca, and his first since he was 8 with a tennis ball so Craig tells me. A second followed soon after, and forgive me if I am wrong on the order, Rob Wilson was in the right place to claim his second. The goals continued to flow and the next one was a clear own goal, nothing else significant to mention about it. The fourth arrived when a corner was sent over and Russ rose highest to head home. There was still time for Elmo to put one away after the keeper fumbled and for Adam J to get in on the act. Half time came and we had 6 goals, a clean sheet, and 3 probably harsh yellow cards.
In comparison not a whole lot happened in the second 45. We continued to control the game but understandably lacked the intensity from the first half. The opposition went for broke and piled men forward but the defence stood firm and bar one or two balls over the top never looked like conceding, and when they did get through Berry was doing a great job sweeping up. We did manage to add one more in the second half, Adam J getting himself on the score sheet again.
So a good day all round, plenty of goals, a clean sheet and a great performance to go with it, let’s keep the momentum going now in the Plate next week, as soon as the draw is made and we know the details of the fixture we will let you know. Man of the Match this week was shared between the 2 Rob’s, well done lads.

Paul Thornton - 12 months agoHaha. Yeah that own goal was a real non-event.
Paul Thornton - 12 months agoAlso meant to say, well played today lads - a great team performance. Overall, I loved the intensity. That's what we're looking for and if we start like that every week we'll kill it!!
