1. History 1


Formed in 1946 Bodedern FC have a proud history - they were in the Anglesey League.
Here are some of the honours they have collected on the way.
1949 - Anglesey League Division 2 runners-up.[click on photo]
1978 - Anglesey League Champions.
1980 - Megan Cup.
1981 - Anglesey League runners-up, Dargie Cup and Megan Cup.
1982 - Anglesey League Division 2.
1986 - JW Lees Cup runners-up.
1989 - JW Lees Cup runners-up.
1990 - Anglesey League Division 1 runners-up and Megan Cup.
1991 - Anglesey League Division 1 Champions and Elias Cup.
1999 - Anglesey League Champions, JW Lees Cup, Megan Cup and Dargie Cup.
For the 1st time in 50 years Bodedern entered the Gwynedd League in 1999-2000 Season.
They finished third in their first season and were also runners-up in the Barritt Cup. This cup has featured prominently in Bodedern's history.
2000/01 - Brought more silverware and another double - Bodedern won the Presidents Cup and the John Smiths Gwynedd Cup. They were Eryri Shield runners-up and they finished fourth in the Gwynedd League.
2001/02 - Was a massive year for the club - they won the Gwynedd League, scoring 96 goals in only 24 league matches. In the same year they won the Eryri Shield, the Presidents Cup and the John Smiths Gwynedd Cup. They were also Barritt Cup runners-up for the second time.
2002/03 - The club then entered the Welsh Alliance League. They soon proved to be worthy title contenders for the Welsh Alliance League by finishing the first season in 2003 as runners-up to rivals Glantraeth, and they won the Barritt Cup for the first time.
2003/04 - Saw Bodedern win the Barritt Cup for a second consecutive season, and they finished fourth in the league.
2004/5 – This season became another landmark for the club. They started the season with some rare silverware - The Welsh Alliance Charity Cup (also known as the Warwick International Cup).
They finished the season as Welsh Alliance League Champions for the 1st time in their history, gaining promotion.
2005/06 - Played their 1st season in the Cymru Alliance League, where they finished a creditable 9th place in the league.
2006/07 - CPD Bodedern were unable to continue in the Cymru Alliance and withdrew from the league.

BODEDERN ATHLETIC
2007/08 - CPD Bodedern became Bodedern Athletic and played in the Gwynedd League. Gwynedd Cup Runners Up that year.
2OO8/O9 - John Smith Cup Runners Up . Eryri Shield Winners.
2009/10 - Gwynedd League Runners Up and Promoted to Welsh Alliance Div 2.
2010/11 - Take stock Van Hire Cup Winners. Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Div 2 Runners Up and Promoted to Welsh Alliance Div 1.
2013/14 - Reached the Last 16 of the Welsh Cup, losing 4 - 1 at Aberdare FC.
2014/15 – Bodedern Athletic started the season but were unable to continue in the Welsh Alliance Div1 and withdrew from the league.
2015/16 – Bodedern Athletic were back and resumed playing in the Gwynedd League.
2016/17 – Gwynedd League Champions and Eryri Shield Winners. Promoted to Welsh Alliance Div 2.
2017/18 - Welsh Alliance Div2 Runners-Up - Gaining Promotion to Division 1 and Take Stock Van Hire Cup Winners.
2018/19 - ...???
