~ FT - Bodedern Ath 6 - 0 Nefyn Utd ~

Boded welcomed Nefyn Utd to Cae Ty Cristion on Saturday on an immaculate surface, in a must win league game to close the gap on leaders Bontnewydd.
It was the visitors who started brightly without troubling Tomos Jones in the home goal, but the Green Army finally got going as Shaun Jenkins was starting to cause problems but he could only poke Craig Moore`s square ball wide from all of 6 yards, but the next attack seen us take the lead.
Shane Boylan`s cross was handled in the area and brother Casey buried the penalty, 1 – 0.
Now in the ascendance the home side started to show what we really can do as Jenkins, Moore and Ricky Jones all went close, but it was midfielder Shane who doubled our lead on 23 minutes as he drilled home from 20 yards.
The away side were flying into challenges now, and following a corner there full back received his marching orders for raising his hands, just before the break, and also the Nefyn Manager was sent to the stands for voicing his anger at the decision.

Second half, against 10 men, the home side were asked to kick-on and kill the game off and it was over as a contest on 47 minutes, Craig Moore hit the bar and Ricky finished from close range. The 4th soon followed, and it was a cracker, we played it from the back and worked it down the right side where Ricky delivered a fantastic cross and Jenkins rose like a salmon to finish from 10 yards.
The 5th was even better as substitute Jordan Taylor and Casey exchanged passes and sent a cracking ball through to Ricky and he finished on the half volley from all of 25 yards, into the top corner.
It was that man Ricky who created the 6th for top marksman Matthew Jones to finish.

M.O.M. – Ricky Jones.

All in all a fantastic 3 points against a very useful Nefyn side who we drew 2 - 2 with in January.

We are now at the business end of the season, and with 4 games to play, we know we can`t afford any slip ups.

Next up is a HUGE game against neighbours Aberffraw at Home, Kick-Off…2.30pm.
